Join us in supporting children’s health during the Wish Trees campaign at Canada's Wonderland benefitting The Hospital for Sick Children. Over the years the park has raised more than $500,000 for SickKids and we are excited to bring back the Wish Trees to continue fundraising efforts!
This summer from July 10 to Aug. 4, 2023, guests will be able to purchase ribbons on which they may write a wish and tie to one of several ‘Wish Trees’ on International Street. Purchasing a ribbon also gets them an entry into a contest for a chance to win great prizes. 100% of proceeds will go to SickKids. We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help run the booth, sell ribbons and get guests excited to support SickKids!
Three shifts are available each day and the Wish Tree campaign runs from July 10 and Aug. 4. We're looking for volunteers to work a minimum of five shifts during the campaign, but more are welcome and volunteers can also work a double shift in one day. These are the daily shift times:
- 9:30am to 2pm
- 1:30pm to 5:30pm
- 5pm to 9:30pm
Volunteers will be invited to enjoy the rides and attractions after their shift, as an incentive!
Please note, volunteer applications are now closed for 2023.
There are many benefits of volunteering and sharing your gift of time. Develop a passion for giving, foster meaningful relationships, and build your resume. In addition to this, you will have the opportunity to:
- Earn volunteer hours for high school in a FUN and exciting environment
- Enjoy the Park before and after your volunteer shift
- Purchase discounted food items at our employee cafeteria
- Receive a free Wish Trees volunteer T-shirt
We are looking for volunteers who are:
- Passionate about raising money for charity (SickKids Foundation)
- Comfortable interacting with guests and letting them know about the charity event
- Able to assist guests with completing registration forms
- Minimum 15 years old
- Available during the event that runs July 10 to Aug. 4, 2023 and flexible with the shifts noted above.
