Things to do during Celebration Canada at Wonderland

O Canada, it’s that time of year again!

Celebrating Canada Day has always been one of our top priorities every season- I mean we have a reputation to uphold since we are CANADA’S Wonderland right?

So what are we doing in honour of our nation’s birthday you may ask?

Well for starters one day is simply not enough. I mean Canada is 151 now. That means a century and a half of culture, entertainment, history and of course cuisine. Which has lead us to bring a full month’s worth of celebrations back to the park!

This epic event runs from June 30 to July 31 and will feature amazing Canadian-themed entertainment, shows and food, guaranteed to delight guests of all ages.

And best of all, the Celebration Canada shows and entertainment are FREE with your park admission.

Highlights include:

Canada Day Fireworks: See an action-packed fireworks display at 10 p.m. on July 1, featuring more than 6,000 colourful explosions timed to an original soundtrack.

West Coast Lumberjacks: Internationally recognized for their daredevil skills, these lumberjacks will entertain guests of all ages while competing in Log Rolling, Tree Climbing, Axe Throwing, Chainsaw Carving, and more!

Cirque Canadien: Prepare to be mesmerized by a magical display of acrobatics, mystique and athleticism as the performers of Cirque Canadien bring you on a journey through the seasons of Canada.

Craz-E-Crew Stunt Team: One of the world’s largest and most popular action-sport thrill shows, the Craz-E-Crew Stunt Team provides extreme stunts with BMX bikes and incline skating.

Traditional Canadian Food: Celebration Canada isn’t complete without specialty food items like Deep-Fried Blueberry Maple Tarts, Ontario BBQ Chicken, Peameal Bacon Sandwiches, Poutine, Maple Sugar and Butter Poached Corn on the Cob, Shrimp Mac ‘N Cheese and more!

Starlight -Northern Reflections: A breathtaking night-time spectacle with a stunning display of lighting, music, lasers and water effects, set to the backdrop of 3D projection on Wonder Mountain.

White Pine Dancers: Experience the magic of First Nations History through song and dance as well as celebrating Canada. Each performance will captivate you with their gift of song, vibrant colours, flowing movement and thundering drums!

Street Performers: Enjoy the antics of stilt walkers, jugglers, and more in Celebration Plaza throughout the day !

Live Music: What better way to celebrate Canada than with live entertainment! Great bands will play some of Canada’s best tunes, from the east coast to the west coast.

For a closer look into these Canadian festivals, be sure to check out our Celebration Canada page on our website.

Don’t forget to download the Canada’s Wonderland app on your phone or tablet so you can schedule your day at the park and not miss a thing.

Let’s get this party started!
