Your Celebration Canada 150 Checklist

There ain’t no party like a Canada’s Wonderland party! We are so excited to celebrate the nation’s 150th birthday during the entire month of July with a wide range of entertainment, special shows, traditional Canadian food, and much more.

Preparing for this month-long party has been a lot of fun and just like any awesome Party Planner, we want to make sure that you are prepared so you can make the most of your time with us in the Park! Follow our list of what you need to bring along with you and plan for when visiting Canada’s Wonderland for Celebration Canada 150.

____ The more the merrier! Invite your family and friends because after all, Canada’s 150th birthday is a once-in-a-lifetime event.

____ Purchase you Park Admission tickets ahead of time online! Beat the box office by purchasing your tickets online, and take advantage of our online discounts. You can also purchase your Fast Lane, FunPix or Dining Plans online.

____ Are you already a Season Passholder? If you’re already a Season Passholder, make sure you take advantage of the great perks like early ride times and early entry into Splash Works.

____ Take a look at everything that is being offered during Celebration Canada 150! Is your family a fan of extreme athleticism and excitement? Then you won’t want to miss shows like The Flying Frontenacs, Ultimate Thrills Circus and Freestyle Ski Aerials.

____ The fun doesn’t end there! There are tons of other great shows for the whole family. Are the little ones big fans of the PEANUTS gang? They host a daily PEANUTS Party in the Plaza, Charlie Brown’s Happy Campers and character Meet and Greats.

____ Exciting evening entertainment for everyone! We really recommend you plan your visit so your family is in the Park when the sun goes down. Starlight: Northern Reflections celebrates the natural beauty of Canada through a stunning display of lighting, music, lasers, and water effects, set to the backdrop of 3D projections on Wonder Mountain. Performances are daily at 10pm, until September 2.

Don’t worry if you can’t remember exact show times, you will be able to pick up a Park Guide Map, download the Park App, or ask any of our Park representatives for assistance.

____ Canada Day Fireworks! This deserves its own check off your list. Come enjoy Canada Day 2017 with our renowned action-packed fireworks display, featuring a unique design set to an original soundtrack and over 6,000 colourful explosions lighting up the sky. And if you can, grab a seat on the hill beside The Vortex to get the best view.

____ Two parks for the price of one! While planning your day, don’t forget that your Park admission gives you access to our 20-acre waterpark Splash Works. If you’d like to cool off and go for a dip, make sure to pack accordingly (bathing suits, towels, sandals, sunscreen, etc). We have lockers and change rooms available to our guests.

____ Make sure to visit our all-new rides for 2017! Soaring Timbers will send you spiraling through the sky on two massive gondolas that swing you through sweeping arcs while rotating 360 degrees. Muskoka Plunge is located in Splash Works, where you step into an enclosed launch chamber and suddenly plummet into a high-speed free fall, reaching speeds of approximately 40 km/h. Whoa, right?

____ Pack your bags and car the night before! Take a look at what the weather is expected to be like during your visit, so you can dress accordingly. On a warm summer day, we suggest you wear light clothing, a hat, sunglasses, and very comfortable shoes. Lather on the sunscreen, we are not shy about that here!

____ Do you own any red or Canadian-themed gear? Don’t forget to pack this! On Saturday, July 1 during Canada Day, guests will be randomly selected throughout the Park and awarded prizes because they showed their Canadian Spirit. Prizes includes Front-of-the-Line Passes, FREE Funnel Cakes, and more!

____ Take photos! And more photos! We want to see how you are experiencing Celebration Canada 150 within the Park. Use the hashtag #CanadasWonderland and visit our social media pages: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Bonus: Plan with your fam! You can print this list and check everything off with your family.

Happy birthday, Canada
