Audition Requirements for all Positions
Singers: Prepare two contrasting song selections, 16 to 32 bars each, showcasing vocal range and style. Keep in mind, our shows consist of pop and rock content, however you may include up to one musical theatre selection. Please no a cappella, classical, or original compositions. Selections should showcase a warm belt, vocal range, and accurately match the vocal style of each genre.
Dancers: Come prepared for a dance/movement call and be prepared to showcase your best skills/tricks (i.e. turns, jumps, leaps, specialty moves).
Actors: Prepare a 60-90 second, comedic monologue appropriate for a family-park atmosphere and be ready as you may be asked to cold read or improvise!
Musicians: Prepare 2-3 selections of varrying styles. Keep in mind, our shows consist of pop, rock & Dixieland style content. Please no original compositions, highly progressive jazz or hard rock. All our instrumentalists play an active role in our shows, so stage presence and personality are a must!
Can’t make it to an in-person audition? Don’t Worry!
Although we’d love to meet you in person, we're accepting video submissions on an ongoing basis until positions are filled! All videos are to be submitted to cw.entertainment@canadaswonderland.com (via One Drive, Google Drive, Unlisted YouTube video, etc.).
Video Audition Requirements
Your video audition is your time to shine. Tell us about yourself and show your personality and character. At the beginning of the video, let us know your name, where you’re from, and your training and experience, followed by:
Singers: Learn the SINGER version of our dance combination (video below) and submit a video of yourself performing the combination. If you are auditioning as a dancer also, please refer to the additional dancer requirements.
Dancers: Auditionees are asked to learn the full dancer version of combination and submit a video of yourself performing the combination. You may also include a link to a dance reel on your submission displaying your strongest style of dance.
In addition to the combination, show us your best skills! Complete a minimum two counts of eight at the end of the combo showing any turns, jumps, leaps and specialty moves.
Actors: Prepare a 60-90 second, comedic monologue appropriate for a family-park atmosphere. Please also include any improvisational experience in your resume & video submission.
