For three fun-filled weekends, from June 6 to 22, there’s will be more to enjoy than just rides and roller coasters. Running Friday to Sunday each weekend, the festival will feature a selection of local and international wines, accompanied by delicious food pairings, savoury treats, fun entertainment and cooking demos and more!
Here’s a quick rundown of everything you need to know if you’re thinking of visiting:
- You don’t need an extra ticket to access the festival. Your park admission or Season Pass gets you in! Food, wine and certain activities require an extra purchase.
- The festival is located at the south-end of the park in Grande World Expo (by the globe).
- Though the park opens at 10 a.m. each day, the festival kicks off at 2 p.m. with food and wine tents opening and entertainment ramping up.
- Guests can explore a variety of wines, including Ontario reds and whites as well as international favourites. In addition to the two main bars that serve all drink selections, a new sangria bar will be offering drinks with a unique twist for wine lovers to enjoy.
- Food will be available for purchase and will feature charcuterie, antipasto starters, savoury bakery pastries, a selection of flatbreads and delicious chocolate fondue pairings.
- Guest chefs return to the patio stage at Grande World Eatery for a live cooking demonstration, with this year’s dish being Spanish-themed.
- There will be live entertainment throughout the event, featuring high-energy performances by Stephanie Braganza, Aimee Claxton, The Great Canadian Dueling Pianos and more! From lively musical acts to crowd-pleasing shows, the lineup offers something for everyone to enjoy.
- Don’t miss the live Salsa band, performing the first two Saturday evenings of the festival on the Mainstage.
- To add to the excitement, street performers - including a talented juggler and towering stilt walker - will be bringing high-energy fun and amazing performances throughout the festival. Including a live painter, who will be creating live artwork every weekend!
- Other activities include photo ops, and the returning paint-by-numbers mural where guests can help finish a masterpiece!
This festival is here for three weekends only – Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from June 6-22nd! So, whether you’re sipping a crisp white under the summer sun, dancing to live music with flatbread in hand, or helping paint a masterpiece, this is one summer event you won’t want to miss.
