JOB DUTIES:
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various water attractions, while providing professional lifeguarding
  • Opening and closing procedures
  • Enforce proper riding positions and safety procedures in a hospitable manner

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 16 years of age
  • Must pass screening; 50 metres for Shallow Water guard and 200 metres for Deep Water guard
  • Current Healthcare Provider(c) certificate (Heart and Stroke) or Level C CPR with AED training (Lifesaving Society or St. John’s Ambulance) (must provide certification at pool training)
  • Must pass an Ellis Lifeguard training course (on-site training)
  • Must be able to exit from a pool/attraction at any point without the use of ladders, steps or a zero depth exit
  • Must attend bi-weekly in-service training
  • Candidate should be energetic, confident and professional
  • Able to work for extended periods of time outdoors
  • Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays

JOB DUTIES:
  • Maintain performance standards at the highest level of professional expectations at the Park
  • Take proper care of each assigned character costume and props (where applicable) to ensure that they have the best possible appearance, including minor repair work as assigned and assist fellow Walk-about Character/Escorts to do the same
  • Maintain a positive rapport with guests and employees at all times
  • Ensure that all safety standards and practices are met
  • Perform all duties as assigned by Entertainment Management including: cleaning the break room, associated backstage areas, retraining, attending meetings, etc.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Execute the days operational plan as provided by the Area Supervisors and ensure compliance with the Ontario Health Regulations and the Employment Standards Act
  • Provide on the job training and development and assist with the completion of staff appraisals
  • Maintain proper receiving/storage/preparation/holding and serving of food according to department standards
  • Monitor all cold /hot holding equipment and immediately report any temperature problems
  • Report electrical, mechanical, plumbing and facility problems immediately
  • Ensure all menu items and food supplies are available while on shift
  • Assist in the completion of the location’s weekly inventory and staff schedules
  • Maintain proper cleaning and sanitation practices for food and non-food contact surfaces
  • Guarantee the highest standards of guest service and hospitality while on shift

  • Smart Serve certification is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work under pressure, produce results, handle numerous tasks at once and meet deadlines
  • Available to work part-time shifts starting in February and weekdays starting in May
  • Must successfully complete the regional health department’s food handler program

JOB DUTIES:
  • Mechanically proficient and possess the necessary skills to assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of the park plumbing systems and equipment according to the current Ontario Plumbing Code and in compliance with current Ministry of Labour regulations
  • Will be assisting with institutional plumbing fixtures, water filtration, pumping systems, water chemistry, compressed air and natural gas as part of the daily routine
  • Will be required to carry a radio and respond to plumbing calls during shifts
  • Must be mechanically inclined with an understanding of plumbing maintenance
  • Assist with maintenance and repairs of the operating park plumbing systems which includes:
    -Underground distribution and grease interceptors
    -Sewage plant and sewer systems

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Candidates must have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, good work ethic and interact well with others in a team environment
  • Prior experience with plumbing in a large diverse facility
  • Will require a current Ontario drivers license and the ability to provide a driver’s abstract if hired
  • Provide own CSA approved work shoes
