CANDIDATE PROFILE: The ideal candidate is a seasoned Public Relations professional with experience in the entertainment /attractions business.

SCOPE OF POSITION: To ensure the development and execution of all public relation efforts, including, but not limited to media relations (publicity and crisis management), media promotions, community relations, and special event programs for the company. Drive business and ultimately impact the bottom line.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Media Relations
  • Execute strategic communication plans
  • Research and craft targeted media materials (press releases / advisories, data sheets)
  • Maintain and update media centre, digital resources, media lists and competitive files
  • Research and update / craft position statements and fact sheets
  • Media monitoring and comprehensive reporting
  • Research and develop advance publicity opportunities and pitch and pursue strategic and effective press coverage (national and regional)
  • Serve as park spokesperson, as required
Social Media
  • Develop new content and execute daily posts/tweets on all applicable social media platforms
  • Ensure park calendars and online activity coincide
  • Continuous monitoring of all social media sites
Media promotions & Special Events
  • Book and execute promotional calendar and manage quality and integrity of brand, key messages and strategies through on air and on site promotions
  • Provide quality and detailed quantitative analysis of programs
  • Supervise execution of on-site promotions
  • Liaise with event partners, suppliers
  • Identify event/promotional opportunities and provide detailed proposals
    Community Relations
  • Coordinate community relation plans and activities (including ticket donations and character appearances)
  • Represent the park in the community, as required
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Post-secondary school education in a related field as well as 1-3 years experience
  • Proven written, oral and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with development of marketing plans and budgets, and technical writing including press releases
  • Prior experience with execution of special events an asset
  • On-camera/on-air experience an asset
  • Computer proficiency a must

CANDIDATE PROFILE: The ideal candidate is a highly organized Electrical Engineer with proven supervisory skills in a diverse electrical environment. This person is able to supervise team of electricians while assisting with budgets, hiring and development of staff and ensure the department planning and operation runs safely, efficiently and effectively.

SCOPE OF POSITION: A “hands-on” leader who is responsible to oversee the planning, maintenance and installation of all electrical needs for the Utilities Maintenance Department.

JOB DUTIES:
  • Responsible to research execute all infrastructure electrical needs for the 300+ acre facility
  • Ensure the company remains compliant with all required legislation and take a leadership role with the planning, designing and execution of all needs related to our electrical infrastructure
  • Co-ordinate hiring, training, development and scheduling of all staff
  • Ability to estimate the cost of electrical projects when required
  • Oversee and assist with all installations of new equipment
  • Oversee and assist with rebuild and/or repair of equipment as needed
  • Organize, monitor and maintain all required documentation, drawings, service records and logs
  • Recommend improvements, modification, upgrades and report findings to Manager on a timely basis
  • Assist with electrical testing and diagnosis, major overhauls, modifications and alterations as require
  • Ensure the safe operation of each work area and each work project.
  • Ensure general cleaning, inspection and reassemble of equipment is maintained
  • Responsible for ensuring the daily preventative maintenance program
  • Assist Manager with budgets and long range planning as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum five (5) yrs. experience as a Electrical Engineer
  • Valid Ontario drivers license
  • Past experience leading a team in a diverse maintenance environment required
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Excellent knowledge of the current Electrical Code
  • Prior experience as an electrician an asset
  • Past experience with high voltage distribution systems an asset
  • Past Experience with fire panel, control and monitoring systems
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays as required
  • Proven abilities to problem solve, trouble shoot and work with deadlines
  • Familiar with MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook and AutoCad an asset.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
  • Required to meet the physical demands of the job including; weights of up to 23kg, heights of 106m,
  • Frequent standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending, crawling and work with ladders and heights

CANDIDATE PROFILE: The ideal candidate is highly skilled hands on maintenance manager with experience in; project/construction planning and coordination; supervising trades for a large facility; budgets; scheduling; contract negotiations and ability to work in the field as necessary.

SCOPE OF POSITION: To effectively manage and coordinate facility projects including some capital for the park. Oversee the smooth operation of the Facilities Department (including; Carpentry Shop; Sign Shop; Fibreglass Shop; Vehicle Shop and Landscape/Turf Maintenance) while executing all related contracts. In addition, assist the Director with the strategic development of the capital long range plan and related budget.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordination of design and construction activities with employees, suppliers and vendors for each project
  • Responsible for all costing related to facilities and capital improvement projects including bid documents, purchase and change orders
  • Manage all planning and execution of contract deadlines and payments
  • Manage operations for the Facilities Department
  • Oversee all hiring, planning and daily activities of Facilities including; Carpentry, Fibreglass, Sign Shop, Landscape and Vehicles.
  • Budget planning, development and control
  • Manage all estimates and scheduling for each project
  • Maintain all required records, reports and drawings for each project
  • Identify and gain approval for all necessary permits with appropriate governing body
  • Inspects construction work in progress to ensure compliance with established plans, specifications, contracts, schedules and standards of quality and safety
  • Ensure the safe operation of each work area and work project
  • Conduct detailed facilities surveys to assess the condition of buildings interiors and exterior elements, systems and fixtures. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of capital and plant integrity improvement plans based on these surveys and other research

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience as a Maintenance/Construction Manager in a diverse environment
  • Post secondary education in related field
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Prior use of CostWorks, MS Project, AutoCAD, Excel and Word a must
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Superior organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a deadline oriented environment
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license
  • Ability to work outdoors and various shifts during our operating season
  • Self motivated, professional and flexible; able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills to simultaneously handle and prioritize multiple projects, tasks and requests
